The Fates are the result of a decidedly fateful meeting in a Banff festival in the summer of 2003 between Jenny Allen, Lin AElder and Lori Reid. Two years before that fateful meeting all three were pursuing very similar careers as solo artists, and now their fans can enjoy these three artist together in The Fates. Allen, Elder and Reid wasted no time in establishing The Fates’ musical dynamic and the rich musical harmonies that have become their trademark.  The popularity of their 2004 debut album Til We Have Faces indicates that their fans are pleased with the collaboration.

Individually, the members of The Fates are no strangers to critical acclaim. Jenny Allen has release two albums, Something to Say and If I Fall, both of which received numerous rave reviews. She has shared the stage with such esteemed artists as Taj Mahal and Shawn Colvin. Lin Elder generated considerable music industry interest with her solo debut album One Beautiful Wife, ultimately securing a major label distribution deal with Polygram. She toured extensively in Jann Arden’s backing band, and was in the progressive pop unit Grace Under Pressure. Lori Reid’s soulful solo album Radio met with critical acclaim, and she has worked with Grammy-award winning producer John Sorenson, best known for his work with Beck and the Rolling Stones.

THE FATES are now available for touring in 2005 – 2007.
